DPW OFFICES CLOSED

VETERANS DAY, NOVEMBER 11

NO TRASH OR RECYCLING COLLECTIONS

Director David E. Scott announced that Department of Public Works’ Offices will be closed Wednesday, November 11, 2009, Veterans Day.

NO MIXED REFUSE AND RECYCLING COLLECTIONS – NOVEMBER 11, 2009:

The Bureau of Solid Waste will NOT collect mixed refuse and recycling from city residents on Wednesday, November 11, 2009.

TRASH AND RECYCLING MAKE UP DAY – NOVEMBER 14, 2009:

Saturday, November 14, 2009 will be the make up day for mixed refuse and recycling collections. Under One PLUS ONE, Saturday is the automatic make up day when a holiday occurs during the Tuesday through Friday regular collection week. Residents affected by the Veterans Day Holiday will have their trash and recycling collected Saturday, November 14th.

NO BULK TRASH COLLECTIONS:

There will be no collection of bulk trash items on Wednesday, November 11, 2009.

LANDFILL AND DROP-OFF LOCATIONS CLOSED:

The Quarantine Road Landfill, the Northwest Transfer Station and the Eastern, Western and Northwestern Sanitation Yards will be CLOSED.
